Roy Rubin

Roy Rubin is a technology entrepreneur and the current Partner at R-Squared Ventures. Prior to transitioning into his venture capital career, he founded and served as the chief executive officer of Magento, an eCommerce platform that successfully scaled to process more than $100 billion in annual transaction volume. Rubin originally dropped out of his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to build and expand the software company from its earliest conceptual stages. Through his leadership at R-Squared Ventures, he now directs capital toward early-stage investments, typically writing initial checks ranging from $500,000 to $1 million for emerging technology startups across the sector.
