Roy Lobb

Roy Lobb is a research scientist specializing in chemistry and pathology within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and previously served as an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. Following his academic tenure, he transitioned into the commercial biotechnology industry by joining Biogen to focus on protein-related research and development. His recent scientific contributions include co-authoring a review article titled Reaching New Heights in Genetic Code Manipulation with High Throughput Screening, published in Chemical Reviews on October 17, 2024. He is also scheduled to present his research as a speaker at the Peptalk 2026 conference. Lobb currently focuses on advancing protein expression methodologies, specifically through genetic code manipulation and the integration of noncanonical amino acids into biosynthesized proteins.
