Roujia Wen

Roujia Wen is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Seabound, a maritime climate technology startup based in London, UK. Alongside co-founder Alisha Fredriksson, she develops modular retrofit technology designed to capture up to 95% of carbon dioxide emissions directly from existing commercial shipping vessels. Prior to establishing Seabound, Wen worked as a software engineer at Amazon, where she built machine learning products for the Alexa AI division. She holds a master's degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge and has conducted extensive research and development across materials science, fluid dynamics, and particle physics. Her engineering contributions to maritime decarbonization recently earned her formal recognition on the Innovators Under 35 list. Wen currently focuses on scaling commercial carbon capture hardware to help the global shipping industry meet stringent new emissions regulations.
