Ron Meeusen

Ron Meeusen is the Managing Director at Cultivian Sandbox Ventures and Co-Founder of Cultivian Ventures, based in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to his venture capital career, he led the expansion of biotechnology research and development at Dow AgroSciences and founded the biopharmaceutical company Immuneworks. He holds a PhD in plant cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and brings over 30 years of experience commercializing agricultural technologies. At Cultivian Sandbox Ventures, which manages approximately $250 million to $300 million in assets including a $135 million third fund, he oversees early-stage to growth-stage investments. Meeusen currently serves on the boards of portfolio companies such as Agrivida, Sound Agriculture, and Vestaron following past exits like Aratana and Divergence. His current focus centers on deploying capital into food, agriculture, and biotechnology innovations across the entire supply chain.
