Romain Lavault is a General Partner and Executive Committee Member at Partech, based in the Greater Paris Metropolitan Region. In this role, he supervises $400 million in seed funds and has overseen 150 digital technology investments across Europe and the United States. His venture portfolio includes board memberships at more than 15 startups, with notable early-stage investments in companies such as Alan, Pennylane, and Sketchfab. Before joining Partech in 2013, Lavault served as a Vice President at Dassault Systèmes, a publicly traded software corporation with a €35 billion market capitalization, and founded the artificial intelligence startup Pertinence-Technologies, which raised €8 million before merging with Intercim. Additionally, he has lectured on ethics and technology at the Institut Catholique de Paris since 2018. Lavault currently focuses on backing founders developing impact-driven software, deeptech, and healthcare solutions.
