Rogier Rooswinkel is a General Partner at Forbion based in Naarden, Netherlands, where he evaluates and structures new life sciences investments. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2013, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in immunology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and earned a PhD cum laude from the University of Amsterdam. He also holds a Master’s degree in Oncology from VU University Amsterdam and previously founded an independent IT and website design company. Rooswinkel currently serves on the boards of several biotechnology startups, including Amphista, Catalym, Tessellate, Pheon, Loqus23, and Granite Bio. Previously, he held a board director position at Achilles Therapeutics and served as a board observer for Replimune, Enterprise, and Prilenia. His current focus centers on identifying early-stage European life sciences companies that combine strong scientific foundations in oncology with capable management teams.
