Rodrigo Castro

Rodrigo Castro is the Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Partner of Genesis Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Santiago, Chile. Since establishing the firm in 2013, he has directed investments across technology sectors, recently launching the South North Ventures Fund with a target capitalization of US$80 million to support regional startups. Prior to his current investment roles, Castro served as the Chairman of the Chilean Association of Venture Capital and worked as the Dean of the School of Business at Universidad del Desarrollo. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University and has consulted extensively on public finance and economic development for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. Castro's current focus centers on providing strategic support and capital to Latin American fintech, healthtech, and cleantech companies pursuing global expansion.
