Rodrigo Baer

Rodrigo Baer is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Upload Ventures, based in São Paulo, Brazil. Prior to this role, he built the early-stage investment practice for the SoftBank LatAm Fund, which subsequently spun off to become Upload Ventures, and spent over seven years leading investments at Redpoint eventures. Over his 15-year venture capital career, he has backed more than six unicorn companies, directing capital into startups including iFood, CargoX, and Pismo. Baer began his professional career as a consultant at McKinsey before co-founding Warehouse Investimentos, and he holds a business degree from FGV São Paulo alongside an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. He currently focuses on writing $1 million to $10 million checks for early-stage and Series B technology startups operating across the Latin American fintech, e-commerce, and analytics sectors.
