Robin Bellas

Robin Bellas is a General Partner at Morgenthaler Ventures and a Special Partner at Lightstone Ventures based in Palo Alto, United States. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and served as a line officer on nuclear submarines before completing an MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining Morgenthaler in 1983, Bellas gained a decade of operating experience in roles such as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at SHM Nuclear and General Manager at Harshaw Corporation. During his four-decade venture capital career, he has led the exits of more than two dozen portfolio companies with a combined valuation exceeding $11 billion, including acquisitions by Abbott Labs and Guidant. His current investment focus centers on the life sciences, medical devices, and healthcare services sectors.
