Roberto Salcedo

Roberto Salcedo is the cofounder and CEO of Baubap, an alternative lending fintech company based in Mexico City, Mexico. Before launching Baubap, he spent over fifteen years in traditional banking and corporate finance, including significant tenures at HSBC where he designed early financial inclusion programs and served in the Corporate Banking Executive Directory. Salcedo also held the position of Corporate Banking Vice President at Invex Bank and operated as the Chief Financial Officer for a mid-market media conglomerate generating over $100 million in annual revenue. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and completed a Global Leadership diploma at the University of Cambridge. His career bridges traditional corporate finance with innovative technology, focusing primarily on expanding financial inclusion and providing alternative credit solutions to underserved enterprises.
