Roberto Ortiz

Roberto Ortiz is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Welcome, a virtual event and webinar platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to launching the software company in 2020, he served as a Senior Product Design Manager at Yahoo, where he directed a team of designers and oversaw major product initiatives across multiple digital media properties. His earlier professional career includes a tenure as a Lead Designer at Google, focusing specifically on user experience and interface development for large-scale enterprise applications. Under his executive leadership, Welcome successfully participated in the Y Combinator accelerator program before securing a $12 million Series A funding round led by venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins. Ortiz currently leverages his extensive background in corporate product design and enterprise software to build interactive communication tools for modern distributed workforces.
