Robert Tran

Robert Tran is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Inkeep, an artificial intelligence platform based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Founded in January 2023 and backed by Y Combinator as part of its Winter 2023 cohort, the startup employs approximately 15 people to develop AI agents and automation tools for customer support. Previously, Tran served as the Head of Engineering at illumis from September 2019 to July 2022, where he built software aggregating public data sources before the company was acquired by ComplySci. He holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, alongside Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His current focus centers on leveraging generative artificial intelligence, large language models, and semantic search to build advanced developer tools and scalable data systems.
