Robert Lord

Robert Lord is the Senior Vice President of Data and Digital New Ventures at Vizient and a part-time Partner at LionBird Ventures. He previously co-founded Protenus, an artificial intelligence-driven healthcare compliance analytics company, in 2014 and served as its Chief Executive Officer before transitioning to Chairman in 2020. Under his leadership, Protenus secured a $17 million Series C funding round and developed advanced systems for patient privacy monitoring. Before entering the healthcare technology sector, he designed and managed analytics systems at Bridgewater Associates and served as a fellow at New America. Lord earned an undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Harvard University and is currently a Doctor of Medicine candidate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His ongoing professional career focuses on the intersection of digital health, cybersecurity, and healthcare data analytics.
