Robert Kaplan

Robert Kaplan is a Managing Partner at Insight Partners based in New York City, where he leads global investments in growth-stage software and technology companies. Before joining the firm, which currently manages over $80 billion in assets, he served as a Managing Director at Accel Partners from 2002 to 2013 and began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Throughout his career, Kaplan has completed more than 50 investments, participating in notable early-stage funding for Facebook and the initial public offering of Cloudera. In March 2025, he directed a $500 million Series E funding round for a cybersecurity unicorn and recently joined the board of an emerging artificial intelligence analytics startup. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University, his current investment focus centers on enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and cloud infrastructure.
