Robert Kamen is an Advisory Partner at Third Rock Ventures based in Sudbury, Massachusetts, where he leverages his extensive background as a biochemist to evaluate emerging life sciences opportunities. In this capacity, he provides strategic guidance on biotechnology investments and supports the operational development of early-stage portfolio companies. Before transitioning into venture capital advisory roles, he built a rigorous academic foundation by earning a doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree in Biophysics from Amherst College. His scientific expertise was further developed through specialized research focused on DNA tumor viruses at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund Laboratories in London, alongside additional biochemical studies conducted at Universität Zürich.
