Robert Higginson

Robert Higginson is a Partner and co-founder at Par Equity, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Before transitioning to venture capital in 2002, he held senior strategy and product development roles across Europe and the US at major financial institutions, including Reuters and ABN AMRO. Since co-founding Par Equity in 2008, Higginson has helped direct over £160 million into 77 technology startups, resulting in 30 realizations such as the notable exit of Current Health. He currently serves on the firm's Investment Committee and recently supported the launch of a £100 million venture fund, which secured a £67 million initial close to target scale-ups in Scotland and the north of the UK. His current investment focus centers on B2B models with strong intellectual property across health technology, artificial intelligence, and climate tech.
