Robert Gallenberger

With over 18 years of venture capital experience, he previously spent six years at Gimv, where he scaled the firm's Munich office and directed smart industries investments. At Matterwave Ventures, he targets seed through Series B investments ranging from $300,000 to $11 million, recently backing industrial technology startups like Threedy with a $10 million round in 2024 and Tvarit with $6 million in 2023. Gallenberger holds a double Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich and Ecole Centrale Paris, alongside an MBA from London Business School, underpinning his current focus on hardware, robotics, and artificial intelligence investments.
