Robert Gaal is the Amsterdam-based founder of Vesper Labs, an artificial intelligence startup that enables users to generate three-dimensional video games directly from text-based stories. Prior to this role, he served as a product manager at Google in Mountain View, where he focused on machine learning applications, and founded the New York-based mobile provider Karma. He previously co-founded Wakoopa, a software tracking company acquired by GfK, and was named Europe’s Top Young Entrepreneur by BusinessWeek within three years of bypassing formal higher education. As an active angel investor participating in Atomico's angel program, Gaal has backed several technology startups, including Framer, Polarsteps, and Revue, which was subsequently acquired by Twitter.
