Robbie Robinson

Robbie Robinson is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pendulum Holdings, a strategic growth investing and advisory platform established in 2019. Before launching his own firm, he served as a Partner at BDT & Company from its inception in 2009, where he advised family-led businesses and managed key client relationships. During his extensive financial career, Robinson also acted as a personal financial advisor to former President Barack Obama. In January 2025, he facilitated the merger of Pendulum Holdings with Jay-Z's Marcy Ventures to form MarcyPen, a newly combined investment entity managing over $1 billion in total assets. The firm targets early-stage consumer and logistics companies that demonstrate strong customer satisfaction and high growth potential. Robinson currently focuses on accelerating value creation and expanding institutional capital access for diverse founders and leaders of color.
