Rob Ward is the Co-Founder and General Partner at Meritech Capital Partners, based in Palo Alto, California. With over 26 years of venture capital experience, he specializes in late-stage growth investments across the infrastructure, application software, and data analytics sectors. Ward has backed numerous technology companies, participating in funding rounds for notable firms such as Facebook, Snowflake, and NetSuite. His investment track record includes leading a $22.5 million round for PopCap Games and securing significant exits like the acquisitions of Alteryx and Anaplan. Before establishing Meritech in 1999, he held financial roles at Montgomery Securities and Smith Barney, and he earned a master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
