Rob Schmults

Rob Schmults is a General Partner at Blockchange Ventures based in New York, where he serves on the investment committee and leads new early-stage blockchain allocations. At the firm, he helps manage a portfolio of 68 total investments, having led 25 of those deals, including prominent Web3 protocols and decentralized applications such as Solana, Polkadot, Audius, and Skale. Schmults actively directs capital into software, consumer, and fintech sectors, recently participating in a $6.7 million seed funding round for the Latin American financial platform Kira. Before transitioning to venture capital, he held a digital operating role at the private equity firm MidOcean Partners and served as Senior Vice President of eCommerce and CRM at Talbots. His career combines extensive operational experience in digital modernization with a current focus on funding foundational blockchain technologies and decentralized infrastructure.
