Rob Hunter is an Adjunct Professor at Ivey Business School and a serial technology entrepreneur based in London, Ontario. His entrepreneurial career began with early ventures in real estate investing and a seven-unit Marble Slab Creamery franchise operation, which ultimately resulted in a corporate bankruptcy when he was 29. Following this operational setback, Hunter founded the human resources technology platform HigherMe, participating in the highly selective Y Combinator Winter 2015 cohort. He successfully scaled the workforce management software business over several years, eventually leading the company to an eight-figure exit at age 36. Additionally, he established Reset Button, an early-stage venture specifically focused on providing student debt solutions and financial wellness tools for young professionals. Hunter currently leverages his extensive background in franchise operations, human resources technology, and venture scaling to educate emerging founders within the Canadian startup ecosystem.
