Rob Coneybeer is a co-founder and General Partner at Shasta Ventures, based in Silicon Valley, USA. Before entering the venture capital industry over 22 years ago, he worked as an engineer at Martin Marietta's Astro Space division, where he helped build the A2100 satellite platform. He holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia. At Shasta Ventures, Coneybeer led the firm's Series A investment in Nest, which Google subsequently acquired for $3.2 billion in 2014. His portfolio also includes early-stage investments in hardware and robotics companies such as Fetch Robotics, Accion, Starsky, and Vector. Coneybeer currently focuses on funding early-stage startups developing autonomous vehicles, space propulsion systems, and warehouse logistics.
