Ritu Verma

Ritu Verma is the Managing Partner at Ankur Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She oversees a portfolio of more than 20 companies and manages over $150 million in assets under management, recently leading the firm's $60 million Fund III closure in March 2024. Before assuming her current role, Verma served as an investment professional at Intel Capital and a venture partner at Ventureast, building upon her academic foundation with a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Bangalore. Her extensive investment track record includes backing notable technology startups such as Cropin and Everstage, where she participated in a 2023 Series A funding round. Verma currently focuses on directing early-stage capital into emerging Indian technology sectors, specifically targeting enterprise software, health technology, financial technology, and deep tech applications.
