Rishi Sharma

Rishi Sharma is the West Coast Lead at Newlin Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, based in Santa Monica, California. He brings over 12 years of experience across venture capital, IoT devices, and operations, having previously served as General Manager and Head of Product for a family-owned video surveillance business. In these operational roles, he successfully scaled the hardware company through strategic distribution partnerships with major national retailers, including Costco and Home Depot, before ultimately guiding the business to a successful acquisition. Over the past four years, Sharma transitioned into institutional investing, leading deal sourcing and due diligence for early-stage technology and fintech investments at GoingVC Partners while also mentoring entrepreneurs at Plug and Play Ventures. His current investment focus centers on sourcing early-stage consumer products, artificial intelligence, and B2B technology startups across the West Coast.
