Rima Chakrabarti is a physician scientist and currently a Partner at KdT Ventures, where she invests in early-stage life sciences and scientific ventures. She graduated from Brown University with an Sc.B. in Neuroscience in 2011 before attending UT Southwestern for medical school to study lipid metabolism. Following her medical education, Chakrabarti completed clinical training in neurology at the University of Pennsylvania before transitioning from clinical medicine to venture capital investing. Prior to her current role, Chakrabarti worked at Fannin Innovation Studio, a life sciences startup cultivation firm in Houston, Texas, and has held Principal, Venture Partner, and Board Member titles within KdT Ventures. She also served as a judge at the VCIC 2022 MBA South event and currently focuses on partnering with early-stage scientific founders who are engineering new innovations at the molecular level.
