Riku Lindholm is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Meru Health, a digital therapeutics company based in Helsinki, Finland, with additional offices in San Mateo, California, and Denver, Colorado. Prior to establishing the startup in 2016, he worked at the diabetes technology firm Mendor alongside his future co-founder Kristian Ranta. At Meru Health, Lindholm helped guide the enterprise through the Y Combinator Summer 2018 batch and developed an online treatment program for depression that utilizes remote clinicians, peer support, and biofeedback wearables. The platform has since published peer-reviewed clinical outcomes in collaboration with researchers from Harvard University, supporting its stated objective to treat 10 million patients by 2030. Motivated by personal experiences with mental health challenges, Lindholm currently focuses on scaling these digital healthcare solutions to improve global access to effective clinical interventions.
