Rick Lazansky is an angel investor and board member at Sand Hill Angels, as well as the Chairman of Silicon Catalyst LLC. As a serial entrepreneur, he previously founded Vantage Analysis Systems, RedSpark as an Autodesk spinout, and Denali Software, which was later successfully acquired by Cadence. His corporate background includes serving as the vice president of product development at Xpedion Design Systems and managing the simulation department at Silvar-Lisco. Lazansky has invested in more than 40 early-stage startups and provided coaching to emerging technology companies at Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon, and UC Berkeley. He holds a master's degree in computer engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in economics and information science from UC Santa Cruz. His current focus centers on supporting early-stage hardware, RFIC design tools, and semiconductor technologies through direct investments and strategic mentorship.
