Richard O'Gorman is the Managing Director at Rabo Ventures, where he oversees early-stage venture capital investments for Rabobank. Since joining Rabo Private Equity in 2010, he has directed capital toward Seed to Series B startups operating within the food, agriculture, and sustainability sectors. His investment portfolio includes co-leading a $7.2 million Series A funding round for the agricultural technology company RootWave in January 2020. Before his tenure at Rabobank, O'Gorman structured and traded interest rate derivatives at ANZ Banking Group and managed self-employed ventures in the retail and manufacturing industries. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the National University of Ireland and a Master of Economics degree from the University of Bristol. O'Gorman currently focuses on deploying corporate venture capital to scale innovations across the global food value chain and sustainable energy systems.
