Richard Melmon is the Managing Partner at NSV Wolf Capital and Bullpen Capital, based in San Francisco, United States. Early in his career, he launched the first digital watch at Intel, contributed to initial advertising efforts for Apple, and played a key role in launching VisiCalc, the first spreadsheet software. He later co-founded Electronic Arts alongside Trip Hawkins, helping build a gaming enterprise that eventually reached a $30 billion market capitalization. Additionally, he co-founded Melmon Tawa & Partners, which was acquired by Livingston and Co. in 1989, and built Objective Software before selling it to Asymetrix in 1993. Transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded Bullpen Capital in 2010 and led early-stage investments in companies like Braze and HomeLight. Melmon currently focuses his investment strategy on high-tech startups across all sectors, specializing in Series A funding rounds.
