Richard Leaver

Richard Leaver is the Cambridge Regional Director at Boardroom Advisors Limited, operating across the London and Cambridge regions of the United Kingdom. He previously served as a Founding Partner at Boundary Capital Partners LLP until October 2022, where he managed early-stage SEIS and EIS investments. His executive background includes tenures as Chief Executive Officer of Blue Star Capital plc and Deputy Chairman of Image Scan Holdings plc. During his venture capital career, Leaver directed funding into deep tech startups, including a 2018 investment in University of Cambridge spinout Echion Technologies and backing for Precision Sports Technology. Holding a doctorate in Artificial Intelligence, he developed the United Kingdom's first AI telematics car between 1992 and 1994 before establishing the region's first Homeland Security Fund in 2006. His current focus centers on providing fractional directorships to scaling technology enterprises.
