Richard Chan is currently a Partner at Ironfire Ventures, an investment firm focused on early-stage technology companies. An active technology investor since 2006, he previously co-founded three separate startups in Silicon Valley before transitioning into the institutional venture capital sector. Prior to his current investment role, Chan held multiple leadership positions at Microsoft, where he led the China Innovation Group at Microsoft Research, mentored emerging companies at Microsoft Ventures in Beijing, and directed various product management initiatives. He began his professional career training as a Certified Public Accountant with PwC before earning both a bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Today, Chan leverages his extensive corporate and entrepreneurial background across Asia, Europe, and North America to identify and support innovative technology enterprises in the global market.
