Rich Gersten

Rich Gersten is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of True Beauty Ventures, an early-stage investment firm based in New York. Prior to launching the firm in 2020, he spent over three decades as a private equity investor, holding senior partner positions at L Catterton, Tengram Capital Partners, and North Castle Partners. Through True Beauty Ventures, Gersten oversees funds that provide $1 million to $5 million in equity to emerging brands generating approximately $2 million in initial annual revenue. Under his leadership, the firm raised a $42 million inaugural fund in 2021 and a $75 million second fund in 2024, building a portfolio of over twenty companies that includes K18, Crown Affair, and Vacation. His current professional focus remains exclusively on identifying and scaling early-stage consumer businesses within the beauty, personal care, and wellness sectors.
