Ricardo Torgal

Ricardo Torgal is the Co-founder, General Partner, and CFO of Indico Capital Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Lisbon, Portugal. Before establishing Indico, he spent six years as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Manager at Caixa Capital SCR SA and held private equity roles at InterRisco. At Indico, Torgal oversees a portfolio that has deployed €90 million across 49 companies since 2019, helping these startups attract €1.9 billion in total funding. He recently helped raise €76 million for the firm's second fund and manages investments in prominent technology companies including Sword Health, Dealroom, and Nutrium. He holds a master's degree in information technology from Lancaster University and an Executive MBA. Torgal currently focuses on funding seed to Series A technology startups operating across artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and ocean sustainability in Southern Europe.
