Ricardo Oliveira is an active angel investor and enterprise startup advisor who previously served as the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of ThousandEyes. Alongside co-founder Mohit Lad, he launched the digital experience monitoring company in 2009 and scaled its operations to encompass more than 1,000 employees across 10 global offices. Under his technical leadership, the software platform secured enterprise contracts with 80 of the Fortune 500 before being acquired by Cisco for approximately $1 billion in August 2020. Prior to his entrepreneurial career, he earned a doctorate in computer science from UCLA, where he published over 20 peer-reviewed academic papers and developed the widely recognized Cyclops internet routing hijack system. His current professional focus centers on advising early-stage enterprise software companies while leveraging his extensive domain expertise in computer networks, cloud computing, and internet infrastructure.
