Ricardo Angel

Ricardo Angel is the Founder and Managing Partner of Piva Capital, an investment firm established in 2019 where he also serves as a board observer for select portfolio companies. Previously, he served as the Founding Managing Director at GE Ventures, directing investments across the industrial sector and holding seats on dozens of corporate boards. During his tenure, Angel also led Energy Technology Ventures, a $300 million joint venture formed by GE, NRG Energy, and ConocoPhillips to fund early stage industrial and energy enterprises. His earlier career includes strategic and financial roles at Chevron Venture Capital, Goldman Sachs investment banking, and CNA Corporation. Drawing on more than 25 years of professional experience, Angel maintains a current focus on backing founders who are developing breakthrough technologies and alternative business models for the global energy and industrial markets.
