Rex Woodbury

Rex Woodbury is the Founder and Managing Partner of Daybreak, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Before launching his own fund, he served as a Partner at Index Ventures and held operational and investment roles at Airtable and TPG Growth. At Daybreak, Woodbury focuses on pre-seed and seed investments, deploying check sizes between $500,000 and $3 million, and he completed 10 deals during the firm's first year of operation. Alongside his venture capital activities, he authors Digital Native, a technology and culture newsletter that reaches more than 70,000 weekly readers. He holds an MBA from Stanford University as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar and a bachelor's degree in economics from Dartmouth College. Woodbury currently concentrates his investments on application-layer consumer technology, digital commerce, and software platforms shaping the future of work for younger demographics.
