René Kuijten

René Kuijten is the Head of EQT Life Sciences and a Partner at EQT, overseeing healthcare and biotechnology investment strategies following the integration of LSP in 2022. Prior to this role, he spent two decades as a Managing Partner at LSP from 2001 to 2022, and worked for eight years as a senior consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he co-led the European Healthcare Practice. He holds a medical degree from Utrecht University, a doctorate from the University of Amsterdam, and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD. Additionally, he co-founded the Oncode Institute, serving as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and spent 12 years on the board of the Dutch Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. His professional background bridges clinical medicine, strategy consulting, and private equity to drive institutional investments in life sciences innovation.
