Rene Kern

Rene Kern is an Operating Partner at Brighton Park Capital based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Prior to joining the firm in March 2022, he spent 25 years at General Atlantic, where he served as a Partner and Managing Director leading European and Latin American investment activities before transitioning to an Advisory Director role until 2021. His earlier career includes six years in investment banking at Morgan Stanley across New York and London, as well as two years at Bain & Company in Boston. He holds a Bachelor of Science from UC Berkeley and dual master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School, where he currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Joseph H. Lauder Institute. Kern currently focuses on helping entrepreneurs scale global businesses across the enterprise software, healthcare, financial services, and consumer sectors.
