Rene De Jong

Rene De Jong is the Managing Partner at The Valley and an active early-stage investor based in Marbella, Andalusia, Spain. As a serial entrepreneur turned venture capitalist, he has built a diverse portfolio of more than 20 startups across the SaaS, fintech, and consumer internet sectors. De Jong frequently collaborates with prominent European innovation networks, holding advisory and mentorship roles with Startupbootcamp, Rockstart Accelerator, the Marbella Tech Hub, and Endeavor Spain. In June 2024, he expanded his investment scope by launching a new venture capital fund dedicated to climate technology, followed by leading a funding round for a Spanish artificial intelligence fintech enterprise in February 2025. Drawing on his experience founding multiple digital ventures, De Jong currently focuses on scaling European technology startups and connecting regional talent with global market opportunities.
