Renaud Deraison currently serves as an independent strategic committee member for the cybersecurity firms Sekoia.io and HarfangLab. He initially gained industry prominence at age 17 by creating the Nessus vulnerability scanner, which subsequently became a global standard for network security analysis. In 2002, Deraison co-founded Tenable Network Security, where he operated as Chief Technology Officer and guided the enterprise's product strategy through its 2018 initial public offering on the NASDAQ, ultimately achieving a multibillion-dollar valuation. Prior to these ventures, he worked as an engineer for SolSoft and founded Nessus Consulting. Throughout his career, he has secured three patents, contributed to the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures Organization, and received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. His professional focus remains centered on advancing enterprise cybersecurity, vulnerability scanning technologies, and artificial intelligence-driven threat detection systems.
