Raymond Camahort

Raymond Camahort is a Partner at Novo Holdings Venture Investments in San Francisco, focusing on life science investments across the biotechnology and medical technology sectors. He helps direct a venture fund managing approximately $45 billion in total assets that deploys $350 million annually into private and public equities. Camahort serves on the board of directors for several portfolio companies, including Arcellx, iECURE, and Ray Therapeutics, following Novo's lead investment in the latter's $100 million Series A round in 2023. Previously, he worked in business development at the Harvard University Office of Technology Development to commercialize early-stage chemistry and regenerative biology innovations. Drawing on over 15 years of investment and research experience, along with a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Kansas, his current focus centers on advancing pre-commercial therapeutics and gene editing technologies.
