Ray Chohan

Ray Chohan is the London-based co-founder and corporate development lead at PatSnap, as well as an investor and mentor at Outlier Ventures. Before launching PatSnap in April 2012, he spent eight years at Datamonitor, where he served as head of business development and consistently generated award-winning sales and revenue figures. At PatSnap, he helped scale the AI-enabled intelligence platform for research and development teams, contributing to the company raising over $300 million in funding from backers like Vertex Ventures and SoftBank Vision Fund. Since joining Outlier Ventures in October 2021, he has directed his personal investment strategy toward native artificial intelligence and large language model technologies. Writing check sizes ranging from $100,000 to $5 million, Chohan currently focuses on backing early-stage AI startups while continuing to drive go-to-market partnerships for his global enterprise software company.
