Ravi Sheth is the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder of Kingdom Supercultures, a food technology company based in Brooklyn, New York. He holds a PhD in Systems Biology from Columbia University and a BS in Bioengineering from Rice University, which he completed in 2015. Prior to establishing Kingdom Supercultures in 2019 alongside Kendall Dabaghi, Sheth developed microbiome-directed food interventions for childhood malnutrition at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. During his undergraduate studies, he also co-founded STEAMtrax, an education technology startup that was subsequently acquired by the manufacturing company 3D Systems. As a bioengineering researcher, he has authored more than eight first-author peer-reviewed publications in major scientific journals including Science and Nature Biotechnology. Sheth currently focuses on applying synthetic biology, genomics, and artificial intelligence to engineer microbial communities for commercial plant-based and fermented food production.
