Ramphis Castro is the Vice-President and a board member of the Institute of Computer Engineers and the owner of Simple Engineering Corporation, based in Puerto Rico. He earned a degree in computer engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez before establishing his career as an AI strategist and venture builder. Through Simple Engineering Corporation, Castro designs and develops specialized software solutions tailored for the healthcare sector. In his advisory and strategic capacities, he has helped founders commercialize deep technology and facilitated the raising of more than $250 million in funding for various early-stage technology startups. Additionally, he advocates for professional engineering standards through his leadership within the College of Engineers and Land Surveyors of Puerto Rico. His current focus remains on advancing healthcare software development while actively sponsoring events to cultivate the local Puerto Rican entrepreneurship ecosystem.
