Ramin Farzaneh-Far is the Chief Medical Officer at Capstan Therapeutics, a biotechnology enterprise focused on developing in vivo cell reprogramming therapies. Prior to joining Capstan in January 2024, he served as a Venture Partner at the investment firm RA Capital Management starting in 2020. Previously, he spent four years operating as the Chief Medical Officer at Ra Pharmaceuticals from 2016 to 2020, where he successfully directed the clinical development of zilucoplan through the company's eventual acquisition by UCB. His academic background includes a bachelor's and master's degree in immunology from the University of Cambridge, a medical degree from University College London, and a master's degree in clinical research from UCSF. Leveraging more than 15 years of clinical trial experience, his current focus centers on advancing therapeutic applications for autoimmune diseases utilizing targeted lipid nanoparticles and mRNA technologies.
