Rajiv Batra

Rajiv Batra is a serial entrepreneur and the co-founder and former Senior Vice President of Engineering at Palo Alto Networks. He established the enterprise security firm in 2005, directing its engineering operations from inception through its 2012 initial public offering, and he currently retains approximately 753,000 shares valued at over $152 million. Prior to this, Batra founded VitalSigns Software, which was acquired in 1998, and he served as Vice President of Engineering at Peribit Networks before its 2005 acquisition by Juniper Networks. He began his career holding technical roles at Hewlett Packard and SynOptics after earning engineering and computer science degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Batra's professional background centers on scaling global engineering teams and developing foundational network infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies for early-stage enterprise startups.
