Rajeev Shah is a Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager at RA Capital Management, a prominent biotechnology venture capital firm based in the Boston area. He originally joined the firm in 2004 as its third employee, transitioning from a corporate position at the biotechnology company Altus Pharma. Working closely alongside founders Rich Aldrich and Peter Kolchinsky, Shah designed and implemented the firm's proprietary Research Management System to organize and systematize the investment team's extensive scientific diligence process. He currently helps oversee an organization that has scaled to manage more than $9 billion in assets under management with over 100 employees, while concurrently serving on the board of directors for the public company Solid Biosciences Inc. Shah maintains a primary focus on directing both public and private equity investments across the life sciences sector to advance cutting-edge scientific company development.
