Raj Atluru

Raj Atluru is the Managing Partner at Activate Capital, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before establishing his current investment firm, he co-founded Silver Lake Kraftwerk and served as a Managing Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson from 2000 to 2011, leading their cleantech and India investment practices. Over a 25-year venture capital career that began at TL Ventures, Atluru has served on more than 25 corporate boards, including Generate Capital, and backed prominent technology companies with early investments in Tesla, SpaceX, and SolarCity. He previously co-founded DFJ Element in 2005, raising an $860 million fund series, and holds undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees alongside an MBA from Stanford University. Today, his primary focus remains on funding climate-tech, sustainability, and distributed energy infrastructure startups, such as Flexe and Voltus, that are actively reshaping the global industrial economy.
