Rafael Torres

Rafael Torres is a Managing Director at Altaris Capital Partners based in New York, where he leads coverage of the life sciences and diagnostics sectors. He previously spent 14 years leading healthcare investing at GE Equity and GE Ventures, later serving as head of Corporate Development and Strategy at Varian Medical Systems before its acquisition by Siemens Healthineers for sixteen point four billion dollars. Torres currently serves on the board of directors for Analogic and HealthTronics, supporting a firm that manages six billion dollars in equity capital across more than 45 healthcare companies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
